Random 10-Box Baseball Mixer

Mixer. Not in the sense that we'll be mixing sports or other products. Mixer in the sense that I will be purchasing 10 completely random hobby and retail baseball boxes from Blowout Cards. In fact, they will be so random, the only thing I know about them is that they'll be 90s-00s era. I won't even know which boxes I get until the break! I'm pretty excited about this and I think this could end up being one of the more fun and interesting breaks I've done in a while. Here are the pertinent deets:

Since I have absolutely no idea which boxes I'm getting, I have no way of accurately setting individual team prices. With that in mind, each team will have equal pricing--$3.50 per team per box! That price covers all cards pulled, shipping, supplies and PayPal fees.

$5 per team slot will be donated to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This is included in your $35 slot price.

This will be run as a straight-up break, much like the Turkey Red Baseball break earlier this year. This is mainly due to the nature of this particular break. Since I will not know which products I will be receiving, I have no idea how many hits to expect. That means there will be no skunk rule in effect. HOWEVER--if you come away from the break with no cards whatsoever, you will be completely refunded--I'll even kick in for the $5 donation. The Case Break Loyalty Discount will also not be in effect, nor will participating in this break count towards a discount in the next case break.

In the event that a card is pulled in which multiple teams are represented, the participant with the majority team slot ownership will receive the card. For instance, if a card features the Yankees, Dodgers and Astros and one participant owned the Dodgers and Astros slots, the card would go to that participant. However, if there is a tie in team slot ownership, the card will be awarded at random. For instance, if a card features the Yankees, Dodgers, Astros and Rangers and each team slot was owned by an individual participant, one of the four participants would be randomly selected to win that card.

In the event any cards not assigned to any baseball team are pulled, they will be randomly distributed. Those with fewer total cards will be favored in the distribution of these cards.

In the event that a card is pulled in which the team represented is now playing in another city and/or has changed names, it will be assigned to its current counterpart's slot. For instance, all Montreal Expos cards will be assigned to the Washington Nationals.

The break will be scheduled more firmly once either the shipment has been delivered or all slots have been sold.

Just look for your team(s) below, click and pay! That's it! Then keep your eye here for the live break or just sit back and wait for your cards!

NEW: 2013 Turkey Red–Group Break

Topps is unleashing an exclusive online-only edition of Turkey Red. Sales start tomorrow at Topps' online shop and boxes ship next week. The checklist consists of 100 base subjects and 39 autograph cards. Each box contains 10 base cards and 1 autograph and is set at $20.

I know I'm currently trying to fill my Heritage BoBuBingo, but if I get enough interest in this before the boxes go on sale tomorrow, I'll purchase 10 boxes and do a quick impromptu Turkey Red group break.

Here's what I'm thinking of doing. Since the base set is relatively small, I'd like to do team slots and dupe sharing all at equal pricing. That means that no matter which team(s) you want, you'd get your team cards and an equal amount of duplicates from other teams. I would try my best to make sure everyone ends up with about the same amount of total cards where possible. You'd also get any autograph cards from your team slot(s). Since this is a smaller set, there will be no skunk rule. The price for each team would be set at $15. Since the base set is 100 subjects and I'd be buying 10 boxes of 10 base cards, there is a small possibility that I'd be pulling the complete base set. In that instance, no one would be able to get any dupes.

If I am unable to purchase any boxes, I will refund your money in full.

If you want to participate, here's what I'll need from you.

PayPal $15 as a GIFT to xyr0 [at] hotmail [dot] com for each team slot you'd like. Please tell me which team(s) you're paying for. Please give me your full name and shipping address.

We'll need to fill this one fast, though. As I said, these boxes go on sale tomorrow and ship next week!
